'A LEGO Technic dispenser for small dry dog food pellets. Our dog loves the to work for the food! It holds about 1/2 cup which is what my dog gets twice a day. A single motor mechanism 1) opens the jaw in the shute - 2) a random number of pellets between 1-4 falls down - 3) a \"lip\" under the jaw pushes the pellets to the \"barrel\" - 4) the jaw closes immediately to stop the other pellets from pushing down - 5) the \"bolt\" is pushed back with rubber tension and releases dog food carnage! Because of random number of pellets in the barrel, they tend to go in different directions and up to 10 feet. Any other material mixed with LEGO is always a hard build - the pellets have different sizes and shapes. A shute only pushed the pellets down with too much weight and made the pellets jam up and the bolt got stuck. The flaps on the shute is actually just weight pushing down to prevent the jaw from opening. Changing the amount of weight changes the amount of pellets coming through. Can you build your own take for your fun pet activity? Complete with cheesy music as always! :)'
