Hundreds crowd the stands stocking up for Shabbat, as vendors announce the latest tomato prices at the top of their lungs. The sounds, smells and colors are as varied as the people. Songs and stories were written about the market that dates back to the 19th Century, and its history is closely intertwined with the story of the city of Jerusalem.
