'Learn how to use a food mill and make homemade applesauce! This particular video shows applesauce made with apples and pears. Ingredients: 4-6 apples, cored and sliced* 3/4 cup water 1/4 cup sugar 1/4 tsp cinnamon Instructions: Core and slice apples. Add water, cover, and simmer for 30-40 minutes until easily mash-able. After using the food mill, add sugar and cinnamon. Serve and enjoy! * Unpeeled apple slices can go in the Foley food mill. However, I find the skins become ground into the bottom of the food mill, which means you must stop to pick out the skins to open up the holes at the bottom to allow for more applesauce to transfer through the holes. I recommend peeling the apples when you core and slice the apples (before putting them in the food mill).
