'Glimpses of Venezuela: \"Hindu Flavors\" is an initiative of some people of Indian origin from Guyana to bring the Indian food closer to Venezuelan people. They have adapted the Indian food to Venezuelan taste. This video is about the stand of \"Hindu Flavors\" a the 6th Gastronomy Expo at Plaza Altamira, Caracas, 12-15 December, 2013. Several countries - India, Japan, Spain, Colombia, Mexico, Argentina, Peru, Italy, Turkey, Syria & host Venezuela - participated. They were selling Chicken Curry, Fish, Chana Daal, Pholouri (Pakoda), Roti etc. Chutneys made of Mango, Coconut, Tamarind, Cashew etc. were also available. They also had the traditional \"Daal-Mot\" made of split gram (Chana). Indian food is very popular among Venezuelans. Although at present there is no Indian restaurant in Caracas, several people are making & selling Indian food at their own initiative.
