'When it comes to street food, India is one proud nation where every place has something unique to offer. We all have relished the flavour of gol-gappas and chaat on the street, but, have you ever tried sandwiches and salads on the street? Well, this might sound different, but yes, there is a food van in the capital that has the perfect blend of sandwiches and salads. Of lately, when we thought to bring to you the best of the street food world, the first spot that came in our mind was ‘Rock O Belly’, a sandwich van in the Film City, Noida that sells more than 12 varieties of sandwiches and salads. Owned by self-taught chef and former banking professional, Ajay Tiwari, this food van is one-and-a-half year old that has created a niche for itself in the area and it reflects in the yummilicious preparations that range between Rs 50- Rs 120. His success story is different and is truly an inspiration for those who have the courage to take the road less travelled. Ajay, with an experience of 13+ years in the banking sector in Mumbai, had to leave his job because of his family and then after struggling for almost 2 years in the education sector, he finally choose to start a food van and his initial journey began at the Lodhi Garden where he used to sell soups and sandwiches. His hard work paid off when he got an opportunity to serve snacks at Arun Jaitley’s birthday party. Rest, as they is history. What we loved here includes Chocolate and Cheese sandwich and Cheesy Burst sandwich. While the former one has a unique amalgamation of compound chocolate and cheese, the latter has a different blend of varieties of cheese, pizza sauce and veggies. Trust us; this one will make you forget the flavour of pizza. Watch the video to know more about this unique food van.'
