'Mobile Food Safety Laboratory hits the streets of Dhaka for the first time in Bangladesh to conduct on the spot checking of food adulteration and contamination. Bangladesh Food Safety Authority (BFSA) is operating the laboratory, gathering data and insights about food contamination. The laboratory and the Video documentary was provided though IFS-B project implemented by the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) and funded by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID). The roving hi-tech laboratory will tour markets in the capital city to raise awareness of food hygiene among people. It is equipped to test for a range of harmful food contaminants and pathogens including toxic chemicals, heavy metals, pesticides and antibiotics residues, E.coli, salmonella, shigella, and formaldehyde.'See also:
