Puffin Meat I’m just going to say the thought of eating this cute little bird just doesn’t seem all that appealing to me. It’s not uncommon though, and some people even think the meat tastes amazing. Gordon Ramsay is one of those people. Anyone surprised?? 8. Black Truffles It’s really hard for me to imagine paying $1,000 for something unless it isn’t to pay rent, but it turns out that just a pound of Mediterranean black truffles will set you back one grand!! It’s one of the world’s priciest delicacies. 7. Knipschildt Chocopologie I like to count myself as one of the greatest chocolate fanatics on the planet. I’ve tested everything from chocolate wines to chocolate covered potato chips, and everything in between. I’ve always considered expensive chocolates one of the best luxuries I can actually afford. But in my mind Godiva was pricey. And then I stumbled upon the Knipschildt Chocopologie truffles. 6. Frost Salt When I first discovered frost salt was a real thing and not a mythical ingredient from Skyrim my mind was literally blown. And the rarity of frost salt in Skyrim is equivalent to how rare they are and hard to come by in reality. 5. The Gold-Infused Taco I know I certainly don’t have $25,000 dollars just laying around or stored away in a hidden bank account. If I did I probably would be able to buy myself something for lunch besides something off the dollar menu at McDonald’s. Remember lifestyles of the rich and the famous, they’re always complaining and eating gold-infused tacos. 4. Saffron Saffron spice is known all around the world for it’s bright red color and it’s delicious flavor, but it’s one of the most expensive spices on the planet and can cost upwards of $500 per ounce. So if there are plenty of saffron crocus, the flower that makes saffron then why is it such a rarity? 3. Yubari Melon The Yubari King is actually a hybrid of two different cantaloupes: Earl’s Favourite and Burpee’s ‘Spicy’ Cantaloupe. It’s a top-grade melon and comes with a price tag that matches. Some Japanese people present a Yubari King melon as gifts during Chūgen, or the Ghost Festival. 2. Fried Brain Sandwich I’ve always been raised by the concept of don’t knock it ‘til you try it, but I’m not sure how I feel about the idea of a fried brain sandwich. I can barely say the words so I’m not sure how well I could stomach the dish. 1. Cafě Raro Coffee is the only thing that wakes me up most days even if I set my alarm 12 times sometimes it just doesn’t do the job, and until I smell that sweet scent wafting from my coffee machine I am a zombie. It turns out there may be an espresso out there so rare it’s quite costly. The tiny espresso costs 58 dollars to purchase. The Caffe Raro was created by De Longhi from two of the rarest beans on the planet.'
