'Subscribe to our channel! rupt.ly/subscribe The number of people depending on food handouts has increased in the low-income suburbs of Paris. Footage filmed on Tuesday shows people queuing up outside Les Restos du Coeur food bank in Clichy-sous-Bois, one of the communes with a majority of people from immigrant origins of the French capital. Les Restos du Coeur is now distributing twice as much food as it was before the lockdown. \"All in all, we have about 300 families, 200 who come constantly and 100 from the other municipalities,\" said Corinne, co-executive manager of Les Restos du Coeur in Clichy-sous-Bois. \"I am unemployed and no longer eligible for benefits, I have been at Restos du Coeur for a year already. Fortunately they are here otherwise we would not eat.\" said Clichy-sous-Bois local Bernard.
